Socialism

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The Tweaker

The real genius of Steve Jobs

Not long after Steve Jobs got married, in 1991, he moved with his wife to a nineteen-thirties, Cotswolds-style house in old Palo Alto. Jobs always found it difficult to furnish the places where he lived. His previous house had only a mattress, a table, and chairs. He needed things to be perfect, and it took time to figure out what perfect was. This time, he had a wife and family in tow, but it made little difference. “We spoke about furniture in theory for eight years,” his wife, Laurene Powell, tells Walter Isaacson, in “Steve Jobs,” Isaacson’s enthralling new biography of the Apple founder. “We spent a lot of time asking ourselves, ‘What is the purpose of a sofa?’ ”

Apple of Wisdom

Quoted from:

My note on Steve: 13 Dots...

With the passing of Steve Jobs, it’s easy to think that Jobs’ career began and ended with Apple. It did, but the fastest way from A to B is rarely a straight line. In Jobs’ 2005 Stanford Commencement Speech, he talks about ‘connecting the dots’, saying “You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.”

Here’s thirteen dots that for me defined the story of Steve:

Quoted: http://biz.sinchew-i.com/node/50593

Yonex BWF World Champs '11

Epic!!

LCW vs Lin Dan.

Compared to Olympic in Beijing, LCW improved tremendously.
Probably he is only potential one could take on Lin Dan.

Lin Dan invincibility aura in Olympic Beijing didt shine in BWF 2011. Probably LCW has evolved to be similar level as his. This makes the game interesting.

LCW, is not the first time you lost to Lin Dan ;P. Keep it up dude!

A beautiful mind

Movie starred by Russell Crowe!

“Adam smith said, the best result comes from everyone in the group doing what’s best for himself”

“Incomplete!”

“Because the best result will come, from everyone in the group doing what’s best for himself and the group!”

Best metaphor in this movie!

The step of courage made by John Nash was, he accepted the fact that he is crazy, the belief he held for several years was wrong, even though the illusion seems so real to him.
Great mind!

5 regrets people have on their deathbeds

From: http://www.matchmovegames.com/newsarticle/5-regrets-people-have-on-their-deathbeds

Ms. Bronnie Ware has worked with the dying for many years. She recently detailed the top 5 regrets that people have on their deathbed on her blog
http://www.inspirationandchai.com/Regrets-of-the-Dying.html

While we are all bound to have some regrets in life, here are the top 5.
1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.
3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

Job Interview

This article is probably what most of you out there are waiting for. So, wait no more! The "Interviewer's Top 10 Hits" Best Compilation record is out! Here, you'll find a list of the 10 most popular questions used by those faithful interviewers world wide. I do want to caution everyone though, that this is only to provide you with a overall guide to what they want to know, and it should not be treated as text book answers, because there are none. If everyone started answering the same questions with the same answers, there would be (a) very bored interviewers, and (b) absolutely no selection process. But let me not digress.

And the Top 10 are...

3 questions in life

1. Where do I come from? (Origin)
2. What am I doing here? (Purpose)
3. Where I am heading to? (Destination)

Human being is a creation which granted with "Free will".

We may choose what we want to believe (act of free will), however, controlling the consequence from our act is beyond of our control.

Generally, there are 2 views on the origin of life.

One its by "accidental" and one is by "creation".

Darwin's view, Big bang theory, or even William Provine theory, which is based on the existence of everything, is accidental. or is a merely a series of events happen and results is, everything we touch, or experience right now is purely accidental or random.

Recently, there is a question put on me, does the things around us, earth, start, life form on earth, is just merely coincident, or just "exists" after a explosion.

I would say, as one who pursues to understand or obtain new insights, usually we will face a unknown matters or incident, which couldn't be explained by the current advancement in research. However, instead of believing things happen just randomly, I would put all my bet that things do happen in a fundamental mechanism, in which, is still yet to be revealed to human beings.

Or even a small school of people, would adopt a probabilistic approach, which using a certain calibration factor, in the end would obtain a similar result. However, it didn’t explain the physical meanings, or why didn’t it happen? (Origins)

Yes, one may able to guess what I am referring about. There is a creator for everything, when we see a car, pen, desk, building, we do expect someone ideas, or a creation by somebody. To those free thinkers out there, it’s your choice to choose what you want to believes, however, you are to face the consequences of your choices.

When I am a teenager, serving in Church, always there is a question which asking by my non-believer friend. "Why do you believe there is a God (Creator) out there? Proof it!”
Instead of answering "I don’t know how to proof if, I just believe it".

Now I would answer, imagine you walking up a stairs, suddenly, you noticed a 9 cupcakes arranged in a perfectly "" shape. Then, what you would expect? You will expecting 'somebody' must have purposely arranged in such manners. Which return to our question , when we saw, or experience such beautiful scenery, majestic mountain, unsolved mystery, we would wonder, who created it, instead of believing it happen by accident/ explosion.

I should have answered him with such answer back when he asked. I should have. ^^
